Back-To-Back Rescues Made with Awarded Extrication Equipment

Not long after receiving new extrication equipment from the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation, Carroll Manor Fire Company in Adamstown, Maryland, was dispatched to the scene of a vehicle accident where a driver crashed into a telephone pole, causing him to become entrapped in his vehicle. As the sun began to set, the new battery-powered rescue tools were used to quickly free the man and bring him to safety within the golden hour.

Shortly after, the department was dispatched to the scene of another crash. With the vehicle off the road a good distance, the new extrication equipment, lighter and more maneuverable than past tools, was carried to the scene and used to free the victim before transporting them safely to the hospital.
