Life Saved Within the Golden Hour

Addison, IL

After receiving extrication equipment in 2021, Addison Fire Protection District in Illinois used the tools to rescue a trapped driver following a motor vehicle accident. With the addition of the new battery-powered tools, firefighters were able to quickly free the driver and transport her to a nearby trauma center within the golden hour, ultimately saving her life.

Spreader: Hydraulic tool designed to remove obstructions to extricate trapped patients.
