Within one week of receiving its new vehicle extrication equipment, Midway Volunteer Fire Department jumped into action after a pickup truck lost control and rolled across four lanes of traffic, leaving the driver stuck in his vehicle. Firefighters used the new tools to remove the patient from the truck and allow EMS to provide medical care.
“The tools have boosted our volunteer fire department’s morale and continues to help us safely recover trapped patients from their vehicles. We couldn’t be happier or more appreciative of this grant.” – Chief Nathanial Yarusso, Midway Fire Rescue
