Carpentersville, IL
The Carpentersville Police Department saved the life of a 40-year-old man in their Illinois community.
After finding the man unconscious and not breathing, officers began CPR, and used their AED, a lifesaving device granted by the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation, to provide critical care before the patient was transported to a nearby hospital for care and recovery.
“This rescue was only possible through decisive actions, valuable training, teamwork and the right tools on hand. It is a powerful testament to the importance of being prepared for emergencies.”
– Chief of Police Todd L. Shaver, Carpentersville Police Department
