Saving Time for Those Saving Lives

A man in Huber Heights, OH suffered a heart attack and within minutes firefighters arrived on scene, ready to use their donated chest compression system.  The crew attached the device, and defibrillated their patient.

This amazing piece of equipment delivered uninterrupted chest compressions, providing critical blood flow to his heart and brain.

After days in the hospital and a lot of help from doctors, the man woke up. Still groggy and weak, he smiled at his wife. Less than one week after the incident, he was released from the hospital and able to thank the fire department for rescuing him.

The doctors attributed this miracle to the quick response of the Huber Heights Division of Fire and the chest compression device that allowed oxygen to get to his brain. This wouldn’t have been possible without the donors who support Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation.
